@bobafetta n spine,
Mate it didnt say a thing where it was made in, unlike nokia where at least it says made by nokia rather then made in china. As far as i could recall, the last ericsson i had that was made in sweden was my r520, after that it wasn't clear.

My w900 was the same case, despite on the initial release it was claimed was made in japan.

How do u tell if it's a prototype? I got mine first installed a singaporean firmware, it can read chinese character, but it was the cause why my p990i wont last a day, flashed to international n it's so much better!

There's no indication also where's my P990 is made, only the battery saying it's made in China.
I'm trying to find out many times but still can't get the clue at all, even in the box.

@Jakontil
Where are you from? Sounds familiar with the problem of Singapore version that happens to many P990 in Indonesia.

Well, there's nothing horribly wrong with China. Nowadays China has caught up in terms of quality, but obviously I'm only talking about the good factories.

For example, AFAIK, iPods are made in China. But don't start on all the rants about build quality on iPods. It's a point that I'm trying to make

Hi rifqi, we once talked over PMs, im in jakarta as well where's ur location btw? I have my FW flashed to international and it worked much better compared to initial version.

About where it was made, once i got a z600 and was made in france by t-mobile brand. Compared to the one sold locally, i could see a different and the screen brightness and sharpness, hoped i was wrong but it's obvious, not to underestimate the country it manufacured.

Some cases also happen to b similar, where nokia which sold in 'black market' have somehow better quality than those legit ones, due to the country which made them.
