Caller ID is a network service that transmits the number, not the name of the caller (though some networks have that function). When someone calls you and the name is shown its just because you have their number stored in your phone and their name is associated with that number, therefore the name is shown. Though you cant really be sure that it is that person (the name showing) calling you, only the number.. right?
