Hi all,
Besides the fact IMO it looks utterly ridiculous what sort of quality can you expect for $19? I think I'll stick with my 3X optical zoom for now.

lol the optical zoom in the n93 probably cost $5.. it was the R&D cost that you paid for to enable them to cram it into the barrel of a cellphone

Looks basically like it's a monocular bolted onto the phone with a plastic holder!

I've got an 8x monocular somewhere, bit of duct tape and that'll stay on just fine!

(Getting it off again might be a tad more of a problem though! )

Bet the lenses on those are pretty cheap as well. Not worth it, and you'd look like an idiot.

I wouldn't mind getting one of these just for the Novelty factor..besides its only 19 bucks! thats about £8 in our money...hardly breaks the bank!

imagine the looks you would get snapping pictures with this attached to the back of your phone!

Thats it im getting one!

Actually, manual focusing in digital cameras can be very hard. Proper digital cameras with telephoto lenses using manual focus like the Sony H-series and the R-1 have 2 functions to help focusing. The firts makes a 2x digital zoom in order to get a better look of what you are looking at. The second makes objects edges visibles using a blue glow.

I pretty sure that most of the pictures taken using that will be blured and out of focus and even if you manage to get a good focus it will cost you some time before every picture.
