@Xugaa, I wouldn't be too quick to assume, TWO of the 8 head members of Parliament in Bahrain are Jewish.

Don't get me wrong Axxxr, but what I'm saying is that the West is generally too accepting and is drifting away from having our own countries being run by us. Of course I'm not looking to persecute others from other countries joining in on the running of the country or otherwise, but there is an importance in us running us if you get what I mean.

It's fine to want to be a country that represents freedom and equal rights for all, but this is able to go too far, causing countries in the West and in the East to loose their own values and what the people of that country want. Of course that man shouldn't have been rejected like that, but it seems the majority of countries in the East have a best unstanding of themselves than we do. Hence why I am a Conservative, hence why I depise the European Union. Although painful to say, it seems the US is the only country in the West that understands this value, hence why European countries are loosing their independance values. Of course America isn't perfect, in fact far from it, but at least they know who they are. In this sense Britain and all that she represents is dying, perhaps we've even died already and we're too stuck up Europe's arse to realise it.

dude, he's an American Muslim.

So clearly you'd compare the same situation with an Arab Jew or Arab Christian.

You seem to forgetting that this isn't an issue about nationality, its an issue about religion.

@Axxxr and Xugaa: Even though it is uncharacteristic of me to join political topics as such, I will express my point of view, I disagree a little bit with what both of you said, and agree with a little bit of both your opinions. While the people of any democracy should reserve the right as to who they can or want to elect as there leader, every citizen of the democratic state, even (as in this case) the law makers, have a right to say what their point of view is; Even if their point of view is regarded as facist, or islamophobic (how do they invent these words?). It is after all what democracy is all about. Also it is not right to discuss whether or not some country would accept an American into their government. 'American' is a nationality, 'Islam' is a religion, there can be Islamic Americans. Expecting an American to be let into the government of any Arab nation is absurd, each country has there own citizens to choose a leader from, there is no need to look into any other country for their political leaders.
