I think that $500 is a luxary phone, at least if you consider that average people don't spend more than $150 in a phone.

Go to SE site and go to press release. God... this phone is really great!
Just some specs:
- 65,536 color TFT LCD
- store up to 500 entries in the address book
- 40 polyphonic ring tones that also match with illumination patterns
- the surface of the A1101S as well as the hinge part lights up with 25 different colors. Lighting patterns can be selected from default settings, such as gRainbowh, gOceanh etc. or users may create their own original patterns
- changeable panels
- internal antenna
- Three different menus are available
- 24 different kinds of variation menus can be downloaded free from Japanese WAP site for Sony Ericsson users
- Height X Width X ThicknessiFoldedj Approx. 47 ~102~23 (mm)

- Continuous stand-by time Approx. 270 hours

Actually, this phone is not that great in Japan......
Or I may say this phone is bad, compare with many other Japanese phones.
Also, this phone is not innovative at all IMO.

i think even if it reaches europe, it will be simplified and definately changed... this is a docomo phone, they will have it all different in the gsm version, so no reason to hope for this to hit our shores any time soon in the same expression...

The phone is not for DoCoMo, it is for KDDI/Au.
