after the new FW it has become Opera 8.65 and it it,s has not been any better. My preference is also Mini 3. Opera 8.65 works ok with wifi but sucks using 3G. My opinion off course.

You are right the reason your Yahoo password is not remembered is due to using the Yahoo Wap page. But why don't you collect your Yahoo mail with the built in E-Mail client then you should not need to keep logging in with your details as they should be saved.
Also have you actually checked the difference in Data usage between using Yahoo Wap and Opera Mini collecting your Yahoo Mail as mentioned in the other Opera Mini thread all the pages are collected by the Opera Server and optimised for a Mobile Device before being sent from the Opera Server. It could be interesting to see if there is a difference in the amount of Data sent and received.
I would do this myself but really am not a fan of Opera in either of it's forms so don't want to install it just to find out. Also as i have a T-Mobile Web N Walk account so i have no need to try and reduce my Data Traffic so is a pointless exercise for me.
