@AbuBasim:
It defaults to Medium for me, I even tried to change the Zoom property of Messaging, but it stayed at Medium... (Unbranded, Generic World 1)

Interesting. My phone is also Generic 1. Let me figure out why my SMS defaults are different . . .

(BTW, du kanske skulle ändra ditt ortsnamn i din profil. Våra indiska vänner här i forumet kanske annars får fnissattacker. "Lund" på Hindi är en grövre variant av det svenska "Petter-Niklas".)

Completly wrong...most problems reported are individual and not reproduced in all users

The general idea is that this is the firmware that should come in first place on the p990 - that should give you and idea

@antichrist
Nah, I think most of these issues are there in R7, too. I'm a lot more satisfied with my phone anyway.

@antichrist:

IMHO, no. It's definitely an improved firmware. Faster menus, more stable multitasking, more free RAM on boot. The camera application is also faster, although the autofocus problem wasn't solved in this update.

@firetech:

It seems that restoring the pre-R9 backup changes the default font size to Large. I just did a hard reset and can see that the default is now Medium.

@ Ares.
The sound when in a phone call, the one coming from speaker is far way lower than the previous firmware.

Guys,

i don't know about you but my p990i after the update it crashes every time i disconnect it from the usb cable.

It usually happens when the phone has a few programs open.

It gives the same old irsend reason code 0 thing.

The new update has surely made a better job in handling multitasking but this is still far from being what is supposed to be.

The memory leakage is still there, the stand by screen can use a lot of updating and more usability added to it, the flash does not work on video mode camera ( this should work), the contact pictures are not very clear, it cannot use as a wallpaper moving images or images bigger then 370kb, when opening received messages the screen flicks a few times then goes to the normal message application then opens it, etc. etc.

It still is a great phone but it needs more work.

Hopefully SE won't just sit back now and leave us with this firmware, i hope they know what is wrong with the phone and continue updating it.
