Keep trying, I had to hammer it for 2 hours yesterday to get an ftp slot to download all the 3 needed firmware files.
Just to be clear: the debranding worked great, except for the 2 hours I had to swap battery plug and unplug the phone to get the firmware files. That sucked and it annoyed the hell out of me.
Get a reliable ftp service, asking money for that quality of service is outrageous.

Is there anyone that have had problem with flashing
K610 (white) R1GB001 CID49 MR2.1?
I flashe my 3 branded k610 with R1GB001 and was hoping it would de-brand the phone.
The flashing whent allright, but it did not de brand the phone.
The 3 icons, start-up's, locked applications etc. etc. was still there.
And as a new feature the background light does not go back on again after it has dimed off in to stanby mode.
Wotan's support thought that the firmware did get corupted when it was downloaded and gave me back the credit and asked me to flash it again.
But after the second flash the problems was still there.
Is there anyone that have had same experiance?
Cheers
/A

Well, so it is confirm that it is hard to get connected to their ftp server. I only successfull to run the client twice (from 20+ tries). Even checking the update (seems mandatory when the client start) failed and it crash the client (if the ftp server answer but failed to talked again). At first I thought my ISP has problem connecting to that site. I guess is that after it gives FTP slot then it bussy by another request and it failed to continue sending the file.

We have very big traffic on FTP servers and our Europe FTP server is connected by 2x1Gbps ports. Asia FTP was down due to earthquake on Taiwan and it's speed is still not 100% but FTP is already updated. If you are from Europe/America and Europe FTP speed is slow is not problem of FTP server itself but rather some interconnection problem.
Ad CID51 and R1ED001: We just uploaded CID51 R1ED001 firmware (EUROPE_2 and S_ASIA_LEVAN filesystems), so you can downgrade firmware version even if your phone is CDI51. Downgrading CID from 51 to 49 is impossible.

So, Wotan? Any breakthrough made to turn my EROM CID 51 R3A011 to R3A016 after weeks of waiting?

Seems that the loader that ppl talking about is just a certificate (probably signed by SE). Now SE keep this tightly and unless they can get this certificate then it is still imposible to update EROM.

The problem is: SESC in Malang, Indonesia doesn't have K800i firmware to flash. The technician said they would send the broken phone to Surabaya for 2 weeks long. And sure, Surabaya or even Jakarta just have R1BC or R1ED of CID 49 only..and if my phone were broken, they wouldn't even know what to do. It's funny that most SESC I contacted said: What's EROM? We just flash yours..wait for 2 weeks OK? Or a month. At least that what my friend's K750i experienced when it was dead after failed SEUS. SESC Malang said the phone had to be sent to Surabaya for further check. That's so silly. Imagine what may happen as now K800i is CID 51. Do they know that reflashing with CID 49 to CID 51 phone is impossible?
