All you need is MXit, it's a free chat program that supports MSN, Google Talk and I think Yahoo contacts.
Just head on down to http://www.mxit.co.za/wap on your mobile and download it.
It's pretty much the best mobile chat program out there, and it supports nearly all phones. Go check it out.

MXit does not work for me. I cannot input my cell number as "correct".
I've tried all kinds of things, but no go.

Agile all the way I say...

FRING!!! you have free online calls, and it supports yahoo, MSN, skype, etc. it's free. But for yahoo chat, i recommend Slick.

try talkonaut

its a little known brilliant app, and does VOIP on Gtalk, and supports MSN
I use it, and it also uses the least data as compared to other apps IMO

its also free , and I think I read somewhere its supported by google

thats java... java has no support for touch screen (so i know). And doesn't have the virtual keyboard eighter (for G900 users). So you have to button it. So far no UIQ support. like i said, Fring has it all
