Dame, missed it. The girlfriend must of made me watch corrie
i'd guess it was pretty much the same as most programs about Muslims, highlighting all the bad. Problem is that’s all they can do because its very hard to find and show any good, as bad news always sells better than good!
I also guess a lot of Muslims are saying its just western propaganda and taken out of context, maybe some of it is but what was said was still said, that’s the scary part.
But as most of it was based in Saudi as I understand which is a majority Muslim country so us “kafirs” need not worry (to much)

Same...I have never been to a Mosque preaching this stuff....I'm not saying that there aren't any, as we have seen from the program...Its horrible to know that there are extremists like this in the world and what makes it worst is that they are from my own religion...I for one am against it...Yes we have views on different types of people be they homosexual, or of another religion but we are not extremists

May i ask who inserted the "preaching" in brackets, was it yourself or a scholar?

yes we may only have got 50% of the story but i'm pretty sure they didn't say "the next 5 mins of what im going to say are pure jokes and shouldn't be taken seriously"
the bits that got me the most where when some chap said that one day Muslims will be in power and we will kill all the kafaars...
i mean like come on, if that doesn't give kids the wrong ideas what does it do? it was hardly the wisest thing someone could have said after all..

from tv 2 years ago.. still the same about women being 2nd class citizens. i dont get it, i've spent time in the UAE, an Islamic state and you see women out all the time in groups or alone, granted i've never been to a mosque but they don't appear to be treated as 2n class citizens in the UAE.. this confuses me.

It looks like someones added it (perhaps for guidance). The worrying thing is just this sentence can be interpreted in a negative way alone.
If i had no guidence reading the quran i might iterperte the word "strive" to mean (taken from dictonary.com) either
"to contend in opposition, battle, or any conflict"
or
"to rival"
Someone of my faith, luckily there are scholars and such who can guide us the correct meaning, but at the same time there are many Muslims guiding there brothers to a more darker meaning.

This is exactly what is happening...A Sheikh I know, told me not to read Hadith* on my own as it can be interpreted in too many ways
*Hadith = A saying or action ascribed to the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) or an act approved by the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him)
