Thanks for the nice review. Its sweet to see Malaysian's on this forum (I'm guessing by the prices you list )

Cheers,

I want the black housing for my N70...that whole changing of the firmware seems a bit risky.

meh not really that risky, the software itself is offical nokia software. your just using the 3rd party app to change the product code. and if things go wrong, just chang the product code back to the original and flash it again.

its probably the same process nokia do to make the, n73 standard, music, and internet edition etc. they just dont want you to do it as theyd sell less handset!

Ok I've used NSS to change my product code to the pid listed for Australia, Euro-1, MEA1, MEA2, and for each one of these pids I have tried, Nokia Software Updater says my N70 is up to date. Each time I change pid I check NSS (click FLASH, then scan) and it shows the updated pid. What am I doing wrong?

Just to add to this thread, I've just changed my N70 to the N70 ME and it was dead easy to do. Just follow the above steps and you really, really can't fudge your phone up. Even the Nokia Software Updater is fool proof to some extent.

Just waiting for my genuine N70 black case to arrive from Hong Kong

I followed that instruction and upgraded my old n70 to N70 ME,
however I'm really unsure that it is really upgraded. Yes I do have the green and red ME-theme, but I can't find any equalizer settings or such things.

How do I know that my n70 REALLY is upgraded properly? Is there any visual settings in the menues I should look for?

Also, my old apps seems to work fine on it, but they shouldn't? ISnt N70 ME a totally newer version of the OS with the 3rd edition? Or?
