A tad... bulky, if you ask me.

Yeah, it does look a bit on the bulky side. Like the novel/unique display on the top of the handset.

That's a very good design.

I like the bevelled keys with the discrete lettering on the lower surface. The flush screen that reaches oh-so-close to the edge of the phone is dramatic and sophisticated IMO, the top mounted OLED screen is innovative and useful while the use of leather works very well.

I've never liked Vertu styling; I think this is much better looking. Any word on specs?

@ carkitter:

Nothing much (yet) on the official site:

http://www.tagheuer.com/phones/meridiist/index.lbl?lang=en

430 components
• Constructed from corrosion-resistant, watch making 316L steel
• Unscratchable 60.5 carats sapphire crystal dual displays
• Front independent time unit
• 28 days power reserve
• 7 hours of talktime

..and GSMArena info:

'The most notable achievement about the Meridiist is probably its battery life - besides 7 hours of talk time it is said to offer almost unmatched standby time of 672 hours (or 28 days). We wonder how it would manage to achieve those numbers.

The Tag Heuer Meridiist is armed with a 2 megapixel camera, a primary 1.9-inch display with QVGA resolution and a secondary OLED one with a resolution of 96 x 76 pixels. The secondary display is rather unusually placed on top of the device and is used for displaying the time (with Swiss precision, you can bet) and your incoming call ID.'
