I usually detach the earbuds from my HPM-70 and connect a 2+1 PC speaker system, which also has a 3,5 mm plug. Since the PC speaker system has it's own amplifier, the sound is great!

here is a sling/stylus i created for my p990i. i am very careless person & sometimes when i use the stylus, i accidentally lose it somewhere or drop it somewhere...made me think of "what if i have a stylus that i can just drop off & pick it up in an easy way when i need it"?...there goes my idea...i won't be worrying of losing my stylus anymore & just have it placed on its nest...

Well you could try a headphone amp, dunno if it would work though. I'm currently looking to buy one. But I dunno if its out of your budget, I hear it goes for about $70 or so.

Here is the link to the product wesite: http://www.electric-avenues.com/

and its being sold by the same person on ebay: http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQfgtpZ1QQfrppZ25QQfsooZ1QQfsopZ1QQsassZgransQ2dar

I hear that its a good product but I myself am not sure, I've emailed my local distributor for a chance to test it. I'll post back here if I get a chance to test it out. But I dunno if it suitable for your "little project"...

Hello
Has any owner of hbh-ds970 tried to modify it so that it will have a mini-jack(3.5mm) output? It would be great to make such a modification because we could also listen music from mobile to hi-fi stereo. What I am talking about is to modify the headset in oder to look like the one given as standard with the W800 package.
It shouldn't be very difficult.......

There is no way a Cell phone can drive a 6x9 at really loud volumes, the cellphone isn't putting out enough wattage. you can search around, there are websites that will show you how to make your own amplifier, even amps with MOSFET and other features. However you will need a soldering iron, and a limited amount of knowledge about electronics. then you can put the amp and speaker in a nice box. but i'll warn you sometimes you wire up everything the way the diagram shows, and for some reason it just doesn't work. but good luck!

also, if you goto a local auto parts store, (don't know where your from) in US places like CSK, of AutoZone, Pepboys, sell really cheap amps for cappr, like 40w RMS, for $20 or under. May also be a good consideration. then if you had some of those 6volt lantern batteries in series, your amp would probably last a long time.
