no.. thats strange,
now that you mention it.
my phone was on R1BC002 and the patch that I applied were R1BC002 to.
previously I had a K750i and I did a few modifications with it.
- changed it to a W800i with wotanserver
- increased the SMS storage capacity
- changed the camera driver
- added a few languages for T9 (message writing)
but thats all, and I doubt that these could have an effect on that... or am I mistaken ?

no honestly, its ok, you just tried to help me out, and like I said its just a phone no big deal (I hope),
I gave a call to someone I know, he is a professional "unlocker" (if one can call it that) and he said it might take 20 € to fix it again because his friend works for sonyericsson.
I will give him the phone on monday.
If you have any suggestions what I could do to make it live again let me know.
but dont worry about, hopefully its ok in a few days (plus I have learned a lesson: dont mess with things you dont know anything about)

i've messed up my phone too, but i've managed to fix it. i was unsure about adding patches to my phone, that's why i took a long time for adding the ones i got now.

I tried the K800i with the READ test from Davinci 18.3 and that does not detect anything, and the same with wotan...
but my K800i works.
EDIT: no just my own mistake...something was wrong with the datacabel

it means your phone aint dead at all. get another DCU-60 and try it out. if it's the cable you should try to remove the patch you added. this would fix your prob.

hmm well I dont know, just bought a real W800i from ebay, but why not, I will give it a try.
