Well i wouldn't say they are actually needed but i like my phones to be always be mint, hence they are always kept in a good quality case and the cloths are great for keeping the screen clear and shiny nothing to do with the camera. Although obviously if the phone has a camera keeping the lens clean will mean you get better quality pictures. The thing that was great about these little cloths was they would not scratch or mark the screens. Not an essential accessory by any means but was always a nice touch and just showed that SE cared.

As I'm always DEPENDENT on my HANES shirt (when at home) or my plain HANKY when I am OUT . . . I see to it that ALWAYS without any HESITATION am CLEANING my fone everytime that I use it: TEXT, calls or plain-browsing . . . I don't want to LEAVE any visible THUMBmarks on it . . . as I watch: CSI most of the time . . .

Last one I remember getting it with was a p910. They are handy little cloths, but they're just microfibre cloths. You can get them at any opticians shop (obviously not the SE ones, but virtually the same).

I've never got one. I bought a Nikon microfiber cloth instead and that's what I'm using.

I knew they were just like eyeglass cleaning cloths, but it is so nice! I use mine to wipe my phone down almost everyday, gets the screen, and the body really clean with no residue, lint, or finger prints left behind.
I also set my phone on it when I'm at my computer desk. (i realize i need a desk stand, lol) this way the phone will not receive any wear from sitting on the desk, and being bumped around. my t616 had the SE jewel on the back worn halfway through just from lying on surfaces.
I just thought it was very nice of SE to include this especially with the t616 how prone it was to fingerprinting with the high gloss finish, my k800 is much more resistant with the matte finish body.
