You can send pics, themes, and sounds to a palm or clie that has a memory card. You cant save files in ram. You have to save it directly to the card. Just run McFile while receiving and save it to any folder in the card. You can beam these files back to the phone when you need to.

I can beam contacts and calendar events between my Palm m130 and my T68i with no problems. But I haven't been able to beam pictures (gifs or jpgs) between the two devices. Not sure about the Clie.

ZboxZ is able to send any T300/T68 file FROM a Palm device TO your phone, i.e. melodies, themes, images, games.
Still haven't found Palm software to receive (via IR) from the phone though - no reason why it's not possible though.
