I have an orange branded P990 and it does not do this!

I was going to update my firmware, but the SEUS says its not needed as i have the latest firmware installed already.

Debating on doing a firmware flash, incase something went wrong in the firstplace.

I have the latest firmware and my P990 is unbranded, unlocked, Generic World 1. I am on T-Mobile USA and I have tried every option (No restrictions, Auto-download, etc.), but the incoming MMS is still always tiny (~5kb). It's really frustrating because none of my other phones do this on the same network! SE needs to fix this. If anyone figures out a solution, please let everyone know. Thanks.

My CDA is world generic 2 R4B03
Organizer R4B03, MMS settings identical to everyone else's and I have no problem receiving MMS pics, they range from 30-60kb, 640x480 resolution therefore I do not think the P990 is built for a lesser viewing experience (unless you choose so of course)

How do i find the Generic World 1/2 or whatever other settings ? I can't see that anywhere on the system information ?

My numbers are

Phone:
CXC 162037 R7A001

Organizer:
CXC 162036 R3B01

CDA:
CDA 162008/64 R3A01

Not sure if the 01 they all seem to have tells me that its World 1 ?

Also in the system test menu, it says Simlock Provider Lock, etc etc all set to 5.

I've just sent a 46kb file to myself, when it arrived in Flip Open mode I selected Inbox -> Media Files and there is a 46kb file which has the options Save, Cancel and Send as. Saving to the phone results in the file still being 46kb.

Have latest (if you can call it that) GW1 firmware.

It seems that majority of 'branded' phones have this problem, and alot of none gw1 phones also have the problem branded or not, I concluded this because EVERYONE with GW1 has no problems and all the people with country specific (mine is 64 Unbranded UK) have it and a quarter of those with gw1 branded have it too.

The Engineer from o2 who I ranted at told me 'inorder to fit the operators custom software and code into the phone, sometimes the phones features are disabled. The example he gave me was the S700 which had features like mp3 ringtones removed by vodaphone and some others features.

So in order to correct this problem I figure you need to flash to Gw1 Unbranded or Orange UK, since orange UK has loads of extra stuff my unbranded one doesnt, like that menu of the previous one at the top, like a windows bar at the bottom ? it has one of them which can have on the side the top or the bottom, and a few other improvements too, but it also crashes ALOT more than mine.

its GW1 and was the worst money i evey spent.. screw u sony ericsson
