I thought that iif you charge a non SE battery that you got a message saying \"charging alien battery\" instead of \"optimised charging\"... or have the counterfeiters got past that now?
@masseur - NOT anymore mate . . . as I just got me a class-a (imitation) battery for my zirrocan gold T68 fone . . . it charges and performs like that of the original, I know that I can't find much of the original battery for a T68 at present . . . though the one that I bought has a legal-brand that manufactures QUALITY-batts (KingCom), a Taiwan-based company . . .

Well, there have been may threads bout this, you can check if it charges in fractions or halves, many fractions is real, halves fake, also pics would help. and compare fonts and info to another batt.

I just got a battery i bought off ebay, it seems very original.
Fonts are the same (some differences, but that's probably because they're made a year from the one it's replacing), it has a serial number and a water damage sticker. The only thing i'd say is different is the size of the sticker and the fact that there are a hole on either side of the top part of the battery. It also charges like a normal SE battery.
Can it be that i really got an original battery for $2.99?
Think i'll compare with some of the newer batteries from SE at work tomorrow
