the mineral grey P800 was not a prototype, it was a production unit

it was called electric blue and yes, the mineral grey was an official colour and not a branding colour. I opnly saw branded ones (mostly from Orange) in the blue
it was the colour used in James Bond Die Another Day and released sometime after the movie came out
btw, I have done quite a bit of research and in every case, a white K800 has turned out to be the silver and I suspect you are also mistaken

@ masseur
those 2 looks pretty close (white and silver). it could be i am, but i'm pretty convinced that it wasn't silver due to the lighting condition at the time (natural white). also, from the angle i was looking at, it would have been clear if it was silver, and i checked out the front panel too just to be sure. overall, the phone seemed to me like matt white at the back (rubberised as in the original black) and slightly shiny for the front panel. looked completely original to me, hence the curiosity.
could be a high quality replacement cover, as mentioned previously. anyways, keeping my eyes peeled for 'it'. maybe photos next sighting

@bodum - I manage to have this mineral grey back then . . . and in the

shop I was given the chance to choose between the blue or grey one (to have the cover replaced) . . . I took the grey as it looks quite RARE compared with the BLUE one, which is very common . . .
