If you're viewing it on the screen, then it's already in your memory. I think it might be a problem with the phone. Check your available memory to see if its full. If its not full then you should be able to save it like the others have described. How long have you had the phone?

I thought I would add this, I can download pics like when they download to my memory and they work but i can not save them like if i see it and hit option save.
BTW I have the same problem as this guy...
