No Stoffe, I dont think we'll see Java in the T-68,..but we will see it in nearby future products.
Arroyte: Java is code (programs). You could then have specific programs in the phone.
You could download the code (program)into the phone, and personalize it

I agree with jh67. I dont think we'll see Java in the T-68 unfortunately.
T68 has a java-capable hardware (in terms of memory, processor,...) but sure requires also a java-oriented design from scratch. If not, the software upgrade is much more complicated. Too much.

The Nokia 7650 has a Symbian operating system that I *think* is Java based.
Can someone confirm this ?
Does this mean it's Java enabled ?

A Java based operating system does'nt matter. You can have Java features in a phone with a operating system not based in Java, and you can have a phone with a java based operating system without java features. However they are often related.
In fact, the 7650 is MIDP Java capable.

That would have been really nice.. but wouldn't it take a lot of battery capacity? Anyway, good idea!

Not at all. Run java code and java virtual machine is just like run a game or a calendar feature. Only drains (very little) baterry while runs.
