I am a big fan of the hpm-70's also. The socket for plugging in an fm modulator is extremely handy. Although for really good audio output I use the mmc-60, a great little accessory, direct from the phone into a stereo via RCA plugs.

I don't think the quality of the headphones themselves are as good as an ultra-premium pair of ear buds, but it's certainly as good as an equivalent pair of standard Sony in-ear headphones (which suits my purposes). But the beauty is you can use any ear buds or headphones you like (It drives my sennheisers quite nicely).

The disadvantages of the HPM-70 are that the mike hangs too low to use as a handsfree unless you clip it to your lapel, so it adds to the fiddlyness of using a handsfree. It's also longer overall than a normal handsfree so you have more cable flying around getting caught on stuff.

uh my problem, just today noticed....as the wire is so dry,it has been damaged in some parts, the very first place where the wire comes from the stereo plugger, and where the wire goes to the earphone and thats just for only 1 month of usage...that would become to a big problem, the wire will be tottaly cut soon and i'm gonna throw away the earphones,i have some other headphones but this one is much more useful in crowded areas, then i have to buy another, maybe a cretive one...

currently i've managed to tape-wrip wires all over

I bought those headphones on ebay for 10€... Great accessory, but I also use the adaptator of the HPM-70 with classic sony headphones (not intra-auricular), and it gives me deeper basses!!!!!!!

Is there a clip on the mic/controller? If there isn't, is it heavy enough to get annoyed it at dangling there?
