yeh they have been goin round wit a portable one for the last few weeks but they finally got permission an it looked really bad... graphics wise...
I try to stay away from the city center as much as poss... too many scallies who think yeh a weirdo coz yeh carry a camera and 5 lenses round yeh neck whilst carryin a tripod lol...

Friend has 30 odd PS2 games.... none work on his PS3...
It is a beautiful looking machine... but.... he has spent over £500 for the console... a game... and HDMI leads and an adapter to get it to work as it should on his TV.... I am not even convinced he will see a difference between that and using his scart leads....
But it does have BLURAAAAAY
And Wii has nothing

Ya i was in Liverpool over thew weekend and i saw the big Wii thingy in town, it was in the evening and a guy with a laptop was trying to set it up lol.
I think the PS3 will come around but people need more valid reasons to spend near enough £500

As an example, one can't get a Wii... still! How on earth can that be helping Nintendo? They certainly won't be selling any software until they ship hardware and everyone knows the return comes from the software and not the console.
I think well done Sony - you have brought consumer goods ownership back to the 'working adult'. I wandered into the shop at the weekend, nice and calm. Handed over my money nice and calm. Got home and unpacked my PS3 nice and calm.
All in all I had a much more enjoyable purchase experience instead of biting my nails and clenching my arse for 6 months then taking the day off - just in case - only to find I wasn't getting a unit.
We only hear this 'failure/success' outcry when it's consoles. If it were tins of beans or the latest model of TV we wouldn't hear about it.
It's a fantastic purchase buy the way

BTW PS3 is still instock virtually everywhere by me aswell,
how long will it be before shops have them on display so people can make up there minds about them that way

graphics tend to be better on smaller screens. tried our 360 on a 50" (or42") pioneer plasma... sure its big and can see easy, but graphics are better on my smaller lcd hd tv...

what u gotta remember though is that the graphics on the PS3 now r comparable to the Xbox 360 now...
Give it a few months and once the developers have got to grips with the coding it will simply overtake the 360 in terms of better looking games etc...
So microsoft can re-release the 360 a number of times but the fact is it will fall behind in graphics terms pretty soon lol..
