its quite funny us brits think tesco is huge ( which it is to us) but walmart could buy and sell them three times over and still treat it as chump change.
walmart are just enormous an estimated turnover of around 250 billion a year.
tescos turnover is 38 billion .

America does have 5x our population though...

and we all know americas eat and drink far too much so its only fair their supermarkets turn over more than tesco!

I dont think much of Tesco tariff. By the way i live in Birmingham just 15 mins walk from Bourneville which is a lovely village by the Cadbury factory and recently i was turned down for a job at the new Tesco opening there. What is really funny is as its an alchohol free zone no pubs or stores selling it they were refused a licence to sell it too. So i was laughing at them cos they did not give me a job. Its only cos i left my job after ten years. But its a victory for the people.

yeah i heard about them not alloweing tesco to sell alcohol there..

i thinks its well funny but good on the council to continue with Cadbury's heritage.

not yet but it wont be long i ll bet, there selling houses now.i think most of the big 3 will try to set up mobile phone services as its another source of income since food does nt make them that much profit.

What ever happened to Sainsburys Mobile? Next its going to be THE BIG BANKS doing mobile services next. BARCLAYS or HSBC or HALIFAX MOBILE. One day their will be so many virtual operators there will be no capacity left on the real networks or Tesco or The Big Banks will buy/takeover Orange or Vodafone. Who knows what the future holds.
