Currently, I'm quite satisfied with the firmware I have in my K800, I can live without PhotoFix and TrackId, so I don't feel any immediate urge to do such an upbrade. If there should come an upgrade with the Walkman 2.0 player, that would be a different story, though.

I plan to convert mine to K810i. I have bought another 7 EURO Wotan credit to flash mine. Just wait any further news of it...I definitely don't want to brick my K800i if this conversion is buggy.

Problem guys!!!!!
The keypad light has problem!!As we know the K810i has different design on his keypad and as a result some light combinations are different! So,the joystick and the other keys around it don't light up anymore after the first time i went to Cyber-shot menu!I'll try to update it once more time via Wotan and if the problem insistss,i'll go back to K800i..
I'll post in a few minutes again to tell you what happened..

I also, forgot to say that the Photo Fix function works very well.It just lighten the most derk areas. The result is very good, there's not to much light or noise in the previous dark areas and it's very good as a function,if you don't have ACDSee or Photoshop!!
Also,my PC does not recognise it as a K800i But as a K810i and does not find any drivers as they aren't in the PC Suite.Perhaps, this means that we'll have a newer version of it with the drivers of K810i and other new phones??
And,in the end,the SEUS still recognises it as a K800i.That's for now,but....
there is the keypad light problem....

So, it sounds like 'hardware differences'. IMHO, SEUS isn't ready for K810i yet at the moment, so it says the phone as K800i. Any more findings, mate?
Try picture blogging too, is it recognised?

I just flashed my K800i R1JG001 with K810i R1KC001 firmware via Wotan Server Client. For the sake of my curiosity. It went smoothly without problem. The flash took about 6 minutes. Here are my findings:
1. The keypad light is troublesome. The light won't turn on on C button, joystick, Back button, left and right softkeys, internet browser button and Activity menu button. The first row keypad, keypad 1, 2 and 3 are dimmer in terms of backlight. Compared to K800i backlight quality, of course this conversion is dimmer. Indeed, in terms of hardware, K810i has the bluish baklight around the joystick and on left side of the body ( Photo Light or something I don't quite remember what it is). So when put in a total darkness, you know what happens. The lights are only seen on keypad row 2, 3 and 4. The row 1 is dimmer..weaker...What a disappointment. I understand it, though, it's a "fake K810i"...LOL...the designer of K810i has created this 'hardware' differences of course.
Anyway when you open the lens cover, the light is just fine on the joystick and the other buttons/softkeys around it..but the keypad row 4 gets dimmer...what a "style".
2. We won't see playing video thumbnail anymore as we find in K800i with R1JG001. When we highlight the video thumbnail, it keeps still just like ordinary jpeg picture file. No playing preview. What a disappointment, really. A step backwards...
3. No "big" improvement in PhotoFix. It indeed makes the darker picture increase in terms of contrast and brightness. I think the ordinary PhotoDJ is enough. Adobe Photoshop will do better.
3. Yes, the TrackID is there. Have no time to check, though. I don't need this feature. I am not a crazy fan of music. Music is just 20% of my life...hehe..
4. The date of firmware shows 070318.
5. Java is updated to version 7.4.
6. Update Service Agent (FOTA) is the same as K790 and K800i.
7. I tried to run SEUS. It recognised this "K810i" as K800i. Funny. It said " Update your phone. File selected APAC". You can conclude what....LOL. I wouldn't know what happen if I continued Continue...it might be turning the phone back to K800i or something...so I exited SEUS.
8. A new game pre-installed there...Extreme Snowboarding.. You'll miss PhotoQuest fishing then...LOL
9. The PC recognises it as K810. But in phone mode, no appropriate drivers are available already at the moment.
10. In conclusion, disappointing. No need to update your K800i to K810i mainly because of the above points I posted.
And finally, I flashed the phone back to K800i R1JG001 firmware. Enough for the experiment. Cheers.
