I just think SE is acting dumb again...people will always prefer frequent updates, like in January and February, than this lame delays stuff all over again...they will piss even the users that are liking the phone like me...once again, they are showing lack of costumer relations skill!!

so, your choice is:
a) get frequent but less tested firmware OR
b) get less frequent but better tested firmware
I choose b
the problem with these choices, and where this logic all comes apart when it comes to P990, is that neither scenario seems to give the quality firmware though it has proved true for the m600 in my experience

you donīt get it...my phone is stable right now...i donīt remember the last time i had a self reboot...P990 firmware is right now similar to M600īs
but...in terms of "message" from SE to its costumers, specially P990 ones, after all the trouble on the past, staying, once again, 3 months between firmware updates (if the next one only comes in May) is not acceptable
we had a good example in January-February...January firmware was a huge leap in terms of stability, the February update was a good surprise, brought some more improvements, and showed people the clear commitment of SE in improving the P990
i must also remember you that the first time we heard about R5 organizer was in start of January...i think 4 months should be enough for the testing you mention...

i too would like option "b" as long as we are informed. even a simple "firmware xxxxx will be released on "month" or "april firmware cancelled".
Its safe to say the phone needs improvement. everybody is eagerly anticipating firmwares to see where the phone will end up in stability/feature.
i just want to be informed on how things are goin... not stare into space waiting for something to hit me on the face...

i prefer the phone to work as a phone should.
now with R9 it does that.
so when SE are ready i would like all the fine tuning to get this handset running like it should! inc. Media player updates and camera updates an general useability.
at the moment it like running a car with a flat spot tyre!!

as i mentioned in previous threads i'm happy with the recent firmware so i will wait at least a month to upgrade. but if there is an extreme change i'll upgrade quickly.

i wonder why

can't announce on their freaking site a date for new firmwares. or make a list with the latest firmwares, so we only need to go on that page to see if it's something new.
i wonder, it is that hard?
