S700 was the best in its time with its 1.3MP CCD camera but there is no doubt that K800 is currently the winner in this category
why do we need to keep asking this same question when its so obvious what the answer is?

Not really actually.
Noise is slightly more in S700. White balance and resolution is far better in W850i. However, S700 is better in low light conditions.

If you compose your photos well, dont confuse the sensor with strong light contrasts and make full use of the settings, any

of 1.3Mp and above will produce acceptable to very good photos of at least 6"x4".
Having an award winning camera doesn't guarrantee good shots if you don't use it properly.
