Unlike some most of us here don't run down a company or product just because it is not SE and if you read most of us here have owned and used Ericsson and the SE devices for a long time. The only difference is some of us are not as forgiving in allowing mistakes and poor quality products just because they are from SE we pay for and expect more.

If SE announce and deliver an amazing product most of us i assume would buy it and not shun it because it isn't a Nokia. But if SE announce something and it's not amazing and is going take months to arrive with old spec can you or any one else really expect us to get excited just because it has an SE badge.

I won't buy a work in progress again that takes over 6 months to be stable and that apparently will get a new OS over year later as in reality that is the only way they can make it work well especially when it's spec wasn't cutting edge when launched although it was when announced.

@Dogmann
well said... The constant insinuation that "we" just get a kick out of dissing SE or are Nokia-freaks... It's so beside the point! I joined here as a bit of a SE-fan; I've done my fair bit of b*tching about 6680 which I had to use at work and hated... (by memory-extension I can't even look at N70................ ). I've critizised motos etc etc...
Simple fact is: since k750 SE have not touched my interest (o.k., occasionally, but after a thorough trial: nah...)... In addition I noticed that certain esato-veterans rarely get verbally attacked for owning and praising an n95 or blackberry or...
So at least for some aggressive(!)ly loyal SE-fans there seems to be a clear element of inferiority-thingy going on...I said "some"!!! I like this forum a lot and I'm sure there's gonna be a SE in the future I'll buy and recommend/defend - just not right now...

I suggested he wait till 8th May to see if he finds anything interesting to him then decide. I haven't asked you to buy any work in progress devices nor get excited about anything. Nor is calling nokia pokia is hardly running down a multi national business that requires condemnation. You've just taken it too seriously.

Honestly speaking the last good thing to come design wise from SE camp was the Z800/V800 that was a well thought out phone. I will also give some props to the W950i but a little to late in my opinion but a nice little all rounder.

I havent seen anythin either that makes me go ooohh be it spy photos or coming soon. SE seems to be workin on the old adage if it aint broke dont fix it...but with this industry you really got to try and test new things and this is where Nokia is now pippin SE.

@maggflodd:

I agree. After the k750, I have not seen any phone that has truly caught my interest. Maybe it's just me, but the design of the new models (k550i, w880i, etc.) is a disappointment. When I first saw the spy photos of the k550i and w880i, I thought to myself: "These will never come out in the market; they're obviously fakes." Imagine my surprise when I saw the announcement of the release of these models. Anyway, I'm still hoping will come out with a mobile phone that can truly replace my k750i. I love my k750i, but nothing lasts forever, right? Or maybe I'll buy another k750i...
