Apparently, it depends which call centre for Voda you get through to, they have several and some are 'outsource' so aren't actual VF staff, so don't really know what they are talking about lol. 'Official' company guidelines state that you can change your tariff down after half way through your initial contract ie 6 or 9 mths BUT after upgrade its different although some staff are on a mission to save the company money so bend the truth so to speak, they are, after all bonused on the amount of profit the company makes!

Sure, i work for the company myself, however here is the link and check out condition: 5.13
http://www.o2.co.uk/termsconditions/yourairtimecontract
5.13 If you are a Consumer Customer, you may not move to a tariff which offers a lower rate monthly subscription within 9 months of connecting to the Network or upgrading. After 9 months, you may only move down one tariff, per month, to the next lower priced tariff to the one you originally connected or upgraded to until the end of your Minimum Period unless you pay us the difference between the monthly subscription on your original tariff and the lower rate tariff we agree that you may move to. Where we agree that you can change tariffs, unless we advise otherwise, your new tariff will commence at the start of your next billing cycle.
