vs. iPod has been debated ad nauseam, often using misinformation!
IMO, for music synchronization and playback, iPod >
in almost every way.
OTOH, carrying around a single converged device is extremely convenient.
If you want the best in music, get the biggest iPod you can afford +
Cybershot phone (I'm thinking K810 if you can wait, K800 if you can't). But if you really only want one gadget on you, the W880 seems well-received here.

I may be saying the same things over and over again, but don't just forget how SE betrayed its customers on the "Walkman Hiss®"..! They crippled the product with a f/w update, introducing the Hiss®, and denied the problem exists, and did nothing to fix it.

I;m using K800 + HPM70 + 2GB M2 works well without a problem.
just update latest firmware and set equalizer.
FYI i tried both N91, N80 using my HPM70. Yes it's loud, but the bass aren't tight like SE customized EQ. if to fight with megabass, its nothing....
for great walkman apps go for W850i

I wouldn't say the HPM70's are a quality headset by any stretch of the imagination and Mega Bass or being loud doesn't equate to quality either. But every ones taste and preferences are not the same. Try a decent connector and headset and not totally compressed format and your hear every detail not just bass. My devices with correctly encoded Music and a set of Shure EC2's give a better sound then my Alpine in car CD player and speakers and if they didn't i wouldn't bother using it.
One last thing on all my Nokia devices of late not only do they have a built in equaliser but you can set up your own profiles should you feel the need to.

All my Music is converted by the Nokia Music Manager @160kbps AAC and since upgrading my headphones really am amazed at the level of clarity and quality of Music playback IMO easily as good as a standalone player otherwise i wouldn't bother using it and would just get a dedicated player.
The upgrades i need to make where very minor a Original 3.5mm adapter and Microphone the AD-46 was about £12 and the Shure EC2's @ £40 money well spent IMO and cheaper than buying a player and having to carry 2 devices and miss calls also.
