Think it's tied in with the theme if you've got that active background selected, though you can turn the keypad tones (along with other phone 'indicative' tones) by using the volumne key to turn it down to zero.
I think you have to select a normal wallpaper to just turn the keypad tones off!

No problems reported by others with my D90 - have you got the 'voice clarity' feature turned on, I have so far with no problems.
Try a generic wallpaper or a picture you've taken and see if you can change the keypad tones then.

That's one doubt I do have with the phone, and that's the signal level does seem dissapointing. I've had second thoughts and decided to take my K800i on holiday with me, better battery life, better signal, and better camera and flash!
Not getting rid of the D900 just yet though, I do like the phone, and do have a weakness for Samsung sliders!

everything seems fine on my end though using the phone,
it's just that ive spoke for hours to 2 of my mates and they making me repeat myself lol
it's gotta be something to do with Transmitters aswell plus the weather has been rubbish today especially.
ive got the reciept for it anyway but I do not think theres a problem with the earpiece surely, if there was it wouldn't work would it lol
I do like this phone it looks nicer in this housing then the black 1,
those pics posted above do not give the phone justice until you have seen it for real..
My mate bought a 7373 a few months ago now after she's saw this shes gutted she bought that Nokia..
K800i was a great phone but I just got bored of it sure it has Infrared and 3G but I can live without those.
Sammy if you can get your butt down to a 02 store and try the D900i out for size, you will like the new look to it trust me

What I like about these NEW Samsung fones are their being so SLIM (which I guess MOST of the celfone companies are INTO now . . . including

. . . W880/P1
I'm just wondering if they will break-easily beacuse of it's thinness

I mean if it happend that you SAT on it etc.

it depends how heavy that person is,
sitting on th D900i wouldn't damage it closed.
the slider is very stiff compared with the N95!
do like the D900i though prefer it over the K800i
it looks amazing compared to that boring candybar phone!

Think the LCDs can be a bit prone to breaking, most of the faulty D9s I see on ebay have broken screens or white screens indicating a faulty LCD ribbon, these are the biggest potential problem.

@samboy - Will this relate to the issue being most of the Samsung fones are sliders

I mean, flex-cable issue

Just like with any other clamshell fone?
