I so bloody well agree the parents are pathetic

you just don't leave kids on there own not even for a min!!!!
someone was watching them come back and forth which gave them the time to take Madeleine.

I guess alot of people feel more secure on holiday for some reason or another. You just cannot afford to do something like that. Hopefully this has made parents much more aware of the dangers not only in this country but abroad too.

maybe in the same spoken language country perhaps but never in a foreign one.

I would never leave a child on it's own whilst asleep in there bed,
a paedaphile could rape them or anything.

the partents made a foolish mistake,
why couldn't they order a menu and eat in there villa or room ?

tut make me sick!

I remember watching an almost the same 'Jack-The-Ripper' story at CNN and BBC way back . . . though of course, the KILLER did not TEAR the BODY-parts of his victims, which mostly were PROSTITUTES . . . I think he manage to victimize 7 but was later CAUGHT by the UK police . . . . this happened just this year or late last year.

I keep hereing that more money is needed. How much can they actually use? There is millions being thrown at this case when other people who have lost there children have had to make do with their own money. I am not saying that this is not a deserving cause but it also strikes me that celebrities and the media are jumping onto the bandwagon as it makes them look good.
I also feel sorry for some of the witnesses. Yesterday it was in alot of the papers that the portugeuse police had a second suspect who was a russian IT guy but he was only a witness. This helps to tar a persons reputation for years. The media need to be controlled. They are not helping by randomly accusing people.
I do hope that the little girl is found very soon and that she is ok.

i wish them all the best and that she is found well, but i severly doubt it by now....

isnt it against the law to leave a child below a certain age alone in a house unsupervised?

loads of kids go missing these days and all they get is a 3cm square picture in the Metro (free London paper) about a year after theyve last been seen.

^ In the United Kingdom, it is not illegal to leave a child of any age in a house on their own, but if anything were to happen to that child of under 13 years old whilst left alone, the parents or guardians could be held responsible for child abuse. I'm not sure about Portugal and abroad...

i fail to see why it's only the portuguese police on this?

the borders weren't closed until like 2 hours after she was reported missing...

plenty of time to drive like 10 miles up the road to Porti Mao and get a boat to Africa...

I'm no detective, but she has been taken for child trafficking purposes..

you wouldn't take a child just to kill it..
