K800i for me.
i don't need symbian, front camera capture, and even QVGA vid recording.
for me K800 much faster than N73, so no doubt i go for it.
so you wont be getting a sofia if it turns out to have all those features which apparently you dont need?

@QVGA
maybe not.
i do not have much money, so i just upgrade my phone once the warranty cease. i'm not even looking at the higher-end phone which have lots of function, cause i think i wont afford it.
but when my k800 warranty cease, if sofia meets my budget and requirement.
hopefully could get it. several months to go...

n73 video resolution is larger, not the best quality though imho, k800 is small but ok quality, but if i had to choose, n73 has better video...

obviously, N73 has QVGA vid recording (320x240)
while k800 is still QCIF 176x144
if were to count (not precisely) twice height and twice width means 4x better.
i mean not in overall quality, but in quick resolution comparison only...

not "crash" alot. but if you don;t need symbian better avoid it. i got 1 fren who almost everyday face restart problem bcuz the phone lag. symbian only win when u use it. otherwise go for K800. it's fast.
but remember the drawbacks...

thenewkid, go for k800. since you said you don't need the symbian, settle for the cybershot phone. n73 hangs alot. think of the wasted time you will experience when you have to re start n73, wait to see the message sent confirmation, screen freezes, options hang etc. imagine, there is an SMS accelerator program that must be installed in most N series just so to make sending texts faster! Come on. talk about a turtle in a fast paced world. Plus it feels good to know that you're not just carrying a phone with you. k800 outputs quality shots. so you will be having a mobile phone, mobile camera, mobile mp3 player (k800 has the semi-walkman interface), mobile radio that delivers the goods fast and responsively.

so this mean that Nokia developers could hardly improve performance furthermore with the firmware only? this is just bad, just as how it fails to remedy the messaging in the firmware instead, they created SMS accelerator=(

your advice is pretty much worthless since he specifically mentioned he wants good video, so K800 is automatically out

ok fine. sorry about that. i havent read thenewkid's post that he needs good video recording. n73's video recording is not something to shout about. if thenewkid would want excellent video recording, he has to opt for n93.

but i guess, bottom line is thenewkid would want a better PHONE. and all things being equal, k800 would be a better choice. Standby and talk times alone will show how better k800 is. and the RESPONSIVENESS of the phone interface. those are the better points of k800 compared to n73.
