The only network in the UK to support edge is Orange.

Orange has:

O2, T-Mobile, Vodafone has:

3 Has:
3G > 3.5G

Hope this helps

This is a Old one which i thought may now want to be updated A Few months ago O2 didnt have Edge. Well now it seems it does.

They have been updating most of there masts over the last few weeks and still going. This will help me as at the moment i use my phone for a lot on data and 3g is none exsitance on 02 when you leave major cities. And even some times its not brilliant in the cities.

So heres the new O2 System:

O2,
GSM > GPRS > EDGE > 3G > 3.5G

And both PAYG and Conract will benefit

Hope this helps

I must say I did notice at the top of my MDA compact 3 where it normally has a G in a little box to indicate GPRS it had been replaced with an E!! and I am on O2.

Yep I think its getting rolled out very fast indeed.

I ish they would just roll out there 3g faster,

I havnt seen one bit of improvement in 9 months where i live. So come on o2,

I live in a town and get no, edge or 3g. ** Hello o2 have you forgot us.

Cows and sheep in fields now get edge, why cant we!!

Trouble is though I don't use the O2 for data anyway! I use my T-mobile PAYG for that and I've just cancelled the O2 contract and will have to decide now who to go with, O2's new data charges still seems well behind that of T-mobile but the fact that they are rolling out edge might just give them the edge!

I think 3 now use Orange for their coverage partner, it was O2 until last year I believe.

I haven't noticed any EDGE coverage round me, though that could just be because it hasn't reached me in this part of the country yet!

the woman in the "3" shop said they used 02 so we were only to assume that they did

Ive never had any "E" on my phone only "3G" it's always on it lol
