If your talking to me, I did:

1) Romeo and Juliet
2) Post-1914 War Poetry (18 poems to revise!!! - And they only asked you to compare TWO!)
3) Lord of the Flies

I wasn't talking to you no, but snap I did all those too, so I know what you mean, but all I'll say is this, it's going to get a whole lot harder. From here on, it's uphill (AS, A-Level, Degree etc).

ye thats right. N ye it was english lit. It was ok. English is my worst subject, got a D in lit in the mocks.

Your worst subject? You don't say....

well obviously i didnt write like dat in the exam. Its quicker to type lyk this and u can still understand it. Theres no point in lyk doing a spell check for every word you do for a forum, and adding all the correct punctuation marks thats just sad. No ones marking you on it...

@ tiny: ye i did the armitage and duffy poems aswell lol. Looks like we did the exact same exam. Which mice and men question did you do?

It's good English and helps you practice for when you use it in the real world, rather than slipping into it when typing or writing for real. I can't see how it's any easier to re-write everything from English to 'txt spk' anyway, yes you press fewer keys but you end up having to translate everything to and from it.

I don't know, maybe it's because I touch type, so it's more effort for me to write in txt spk, but I just personaly think it's a waste of time and bad English. Not to mention how it makes you look and sound, as well as how it'll affect your real English.

Haha! True say, I totally agree lol.

I was actually talking to Tiny but you were correct in what you said - I know it's going to get even harder and stressful, which is bad because I really can't deal with stress. However, I am relieved that after these I won't have to write any more English/History essays! Only essays in French lol.

(I'm most probably doing: Maths, Biology, Chemistry, French next year)

Yeah got a shed full of exams in the first week after the half term. But at least when they're over then the fun begins
