yes u can increase it a little more.
change da windows reserved bandwidth(20% as default) to 0 through group policy editor.
then change da tcp ip half openport limit(only 10 as default) to 50 or 100.n make sure there r no viruses... in ur computer.
it might increase ur connection speed a lil more.
the downloading speed will definitely increase.
{{am getting a constant downloading speed of 7.5to 9 with SE j300i which is an old low end phone.

@Aragorn..
Can u pls elaborate more on this?. how to change the TCP/IP parameters..
I know it would prevent the browser from dropping the connection before a response is recieved from the internet..

I think this can be done by IP PINGING .But for me it was not of any help .But i am quite sure that there must be some trick to get speed because the speed is never constant .The maximum speed i got was 80Kbps on my N70 and minimum was 4kbps .This mean that i can get any speed between 4 and 80 .So there must be a method to get the maximum speed .So we must try to find something .

yaa.. im also getting almost similar speeds.. download speed is consistent 3-3.5 Kbps minimum, after 3-4am it rises to consistent 15-20kbps. Luckily one day i got almost 95kbps for about 10-15 minutes.. im using a class 10 edge enabled phone..
