There was me going to offer to buy those harry potter books, don't think i'll bother. Maybe there will be a reasonable explanation. Hope you get it sorted.

Ok just a quick reply, I'm not trying to con you, I also pride myself on trust here.
I've never conned anyone and nor do I intend on doing so.
I gave the DVD's to my sister to send out as I was busy, and she never confirmed to me that they were sent.
I also don't always check PM's as it doesn't always tell me I have them.
The number I gave you was not a fake, have just been busy with work so haven't been answering my fone.
I had arranged for the DVD's to be sent out without checking payment was recieved, so was taking you on your word... not sure if that helps here but Just want you to know I trust people just as much as you.
Anyways, I just wish you wouldn't judge so quickly here, and accuse me of frauding you... I've sold Hundreds of phones and never conned a single person, i'm not going to start with a DVD boxset.

I thought it does tell you if you get a PM as it shows up Red in the left hand corner.

I use AOL and when I click "always log me in" I don't actually stay logged in, I have to click my PM tab, then sign in again to check if I have an new PM's; Which really isn't worth me doing so every time I’m on esato, as normally I’m on for a few minutes to check the sale threads. However I do leave the window open, so it may show me as online.
Look, if you want I'll refund you if my sister hasn't posted them out yet. Or i'll personally send them out special delivery today. Your call.
It's really not worth the hassle over a loss of contact within 20hours...
I gave the DVD's to my sister as I didn't think i'd be able to post them in time, if I actually didn't want to get them to you on time I wouldn’t have given them to anyone to post, just left them in a pile with the others.

Please excuse my lateness of reply; I've been busy with work this morning.
You've obviously had some last minute problems with your side of our agreement......which you originally stated the terms of, via pm(you do remember?):

Mate if you up your bid to £40 for the family guy episodes and can pay today, i'll post them out today as i'm off to the PO. Also I should be able to find a reciept for £90 when they were purchased about 2 weeks ago.
Let me know.'
We then spoke via pm; I agreed to my side of this agreement, and then(bearing in mind the time) took time out of work to ensure my word was kept. You were payed in the time you stated. I then tried to let you know this by pm, in this thread, and by phone.
Is is not right of me to then assume that you would safely achieve your side of the agreement?? As you'd also said in another pm that I 'd have them(DVDs) tomorrow, everything seemed a perfectly safe bet. I logged off for the day.
08:30 the next morning, the day you stated the DVDs would be with me, I find I've had no joy in getting hold of you to update you, have had no contact from you whatsoever, and yet I see you've been online a couple of times since our agreement already, In other threads. Yet there's no mention anywhere of any problems with your side of the agreement; as fas as I was aware, surely if you had been to the PO already, you'd have been able to give me a tracking number for the parcel(over£36 value, I'd assumed also it would have be RMSD to get here in the time you stated)by then?? Although slightly concerned by this fact, I kept faith, and waited for my parcel to arrive.
By 11:00, I've recieved my first post for the day; another parcel, purchased by me in a similar agreement to ours, has already arrived. This is quite depressing; the parcel is of lesser value, not RMSD, and travelled further across the country. Yet still no tracking number, no communication from you, no DVD's. Frustrated at the lack of communication on your part(and unaware that you don't check them), I pm you.
By 13:30, it's now obviously apparent that I am
not to receive the DVDs today. Great. I've also still had no communication from you at all; all and every attempt by me to contact you for an update had failed miserably.
What would you assume at this point??
Considering all the facts available to me, and also being aware of the recent events here at Esato concerning traders(trusted or otherwise)...I just felt betrayed. So I did the one thing I felt I had to; I updated this thread.
I still find it vastly difficult to believe that in all that time, you couldn't find 30 seconds to check this thread and respond(here or by pm); there had been sgnificant changes to the agreementon your side, yet you felt no need whatsoever to let me know anything, for one moment. You really think this implies trust??
Later that night, a good couple of hours after I've had to log off for the day, you finally post an update here(and by pm).
And now I log on, am aware of the entire situation, yet can't really be content with the current situation. I don't want a refund, I just want the DVDs I paid you for!
Yet even now, I have no tracking number, which means no idea when my goods are supposed to arrive! Now I'm sorry if you think this is an acceptable way to trade, I don't. People aren't psychic(well I'm certaintly not). Which means we need information
communicated to us. I need some positive information from you(like a tracking number, maybe a timescale on this delivery?), I'm afraid I'm a bit low on faith right now.
By the way, I'm not trying to destroy your reputation; I haven't given you a negative feedback, in fact assuming I actually get the DVD's(preferrably this week, if that's at all possible now), I'll be happy to give you a positive rating. I just wish you'd been honest at the start of our agreement; is that too much to expect??

Not a problem, these things (outside of esato) happen.
Firstly...
Tracking Number: ZV 4854 5143 2GB.
I'm not disputing the fact that his comments aren't fair, they are... on his side he was expecting the Parcel early the next morning which he didn't get.
On my side I gave the DVD's to my sister to post as something
more important came up which took priority. Now I knew I couldn't make it to the PO so I asked her to send them out for me.
I've only just (this morning) got a text from her saying she's posted them out. Now she lives in Cardiff and myself in London, she has a wedding in a few months and i've just found out I have to visit Hospital 3 times a day... So communication isn't exactly the best at the moment.
As mentioned earlier I'm online breifly, but not enough to check whether or not I have PM's.
As for you calling, i'm sure you did... sadly I didn't get your number from you to save, and when I get home I have 20-30 missed calls from numbers I don't recognise, i'm sure you'll agree chasing them all up isn't exactly easy. And I don't really have that time right now, and without a text from you I wasn't aware you where trying to contact me.

I'd assume something had occured, making it difficult for the seller to post the item out. Which I have done at least a dozen times on this forum, and usually had the items delivered to me in a week or so.
I understand your not trying to ruin my reputation, but what's done is done... haynesycop for one doesn't want to trade with me be due to this.
All I'm trying to say is not to jump to conlusions (it had been less than 24 hours of no contact), i'm
not a conman and i'm
not trying to fraud you out of £40.

Think we can safely say everyone has stated their point clearly and the problems seems to be resolved!
Shame all problems dont end in this way...!

I still haven't called you a conman, or accused you of ripping me off £40! I've complained, because I think it's unfair that you couldn't keep me updated regularly on your changes to our agreement, and you've said that I should expect this kind of behaviour(and a late delivery).
I think that's the difference between ourselves; you find it difficult to chase up 20-30 calls a day, yet I run 3 different numbers, and don't have that many unreturned missed calls in a year(between them all). Different priorities, I guess....
I also apologise for not offering you my number(you're probably the first person on here I haven't given it to....first), I'd already advised you by pm that I don't text(so would be calling, I prefer realtime two-way conversation anyway)....of course I didn't know at the time that you don't check them(again, a difference between us; knowing how unreliable they are, I check mine anyway, without waiting for an indicator)....
And I still find it hard to believe that your time was that short, due to the time you spent trying to initiate other deals on here for phones etc, rather than even one attempt to update those already involved with existing deals(like myself). Call me old-school; I got taught differently to that. Sorry again.
Also, assuming Haynseycop doesn't want to trade with you, is that any reason to lock your for sale thread?? You're a trusted trader; as long as other members here can accept your explainations, you've got nothing to worry about! Laura herself may have changed her mind again by now, but at the end of the day, it's down to her principles - and we can't dictate those.....
.....and that was the door. They're here! I don't have to spend any more time waiting and guessing what's going on. It took 3 times longer than I was expecting, but hey, nevermind, only my time wasted. Sorry for expecting too much; I shall go and leave your positive feedback(at the end of the day, still a good deal at a good price)....
Mik
