I know an online shop which sells soldering irons for £7.95 or a soldering iron kit with stand, cleaner and a reel of solder for £10.95 if your interested in that or if anybody else wants to do it themselves

amnesia, i got my wii chipped for about 30euros (installation only), cos i tried installing it myself, and burned of all the solder points from the dvd drive. that was not a problem for the guys at the wii store, they just pulled some wires and walla. since the wiikey is on the dvd drive and not the wii motherboard, it is what you can call stealth, since it just basically bypasses all the dvd region and copyright blocks. i recomend chipping the wii, i have more than 30 games that i have downloaded.

No the chip does not affect online play at all. My wii has a constant connection anyway and none of it is affected.
