W700 has lense cover.but it does not have autofocus.many people saying you go for w810,w810 has autofocus and edge but it lacks the lense cover.i am posting from w810 this time.awesome set,if you use with care lense cover is not big issue

lens cover is more nuisance than useful. it can automatically open in the pocket and get discolorised like in K800

Yes,but some people think that the glass over lense can get scratches or could be broken with out lense cover but it never happened to me ,plus the glass gets dust and dirt on it so have to clean it time to time.
