when your using the P800 as a normal phone you can go up to 12-15 days! i think the P800 has some T9 functions and if there not good enough people will ask for T9 in a sw update so soon it will be availble so no problem then.

Thanks Tranquil!!!! Finally a real answer!!!

Andrew99...let me see...do u think that there is so much difference between a real keyb and a virtual one??? I don't think so!! If REAL keyb with T9 are useful, why can't be useful a VIRTUAL keyb with T9???

Lor...I know..nokia is'n so "professional" but you must say that is very fast on writing sms...

Bye Bye...

andrew99: He needs to use T9, so what has that got to do with you? conte81 may find it easier to use T9 than a virtual keyboard, like I do. If you don't want to give an answer, fine. Quit judging what's best for other people.

Hehe... There'll most definatly be a third party T9 app available shortly after it's release I'm sure!

I just think that if you have a full keyboard - showing all the letters of the alphabet, it is easier to use than a cut down version which has to guess what you want. And handwriting recognition is even better!

Do you specifically want T9? Or is another predictive text system suitable? Because with C++ or Java obviously something can be created. I just fail to see the point.
One thing I'll be curious to see though, is if new user programs can integrate with the existing phone features, ie messaging. Because that is not necessarily going to happen.

I don't think it will support T9, becouse SE would have to pay licence for T9 for this phone, and if there is a better way to input text, why bother extra costs for a t9 license?
