Here is what my phone dealer just said (translated from French):
"The P800 release has been delayed because the P800
units that were released in Germany had a lot of problems"
I didn't know it had been previously released in Germany.......

Okay, lets settle this.
From someone who works in the industry and has spoken to SonyEricsson themselves, I can tell you that OFFICIALLY, the P800 will be released in the last two weeks of January 2003, in the UK at least.
Thats definate and confirmed.
Expected price, £250-£300 online, or £500-£550 offline.

I was in Amsterdam last weekend and saw a guy chatting into a P800 at Schipol. I've no idea where he was from or where he was going, but I guess they're on sale somewhere (unless he was a SE employee or something)
Also, Zao's got one in Die Another Day, so presumably they're on general sale in North Korea??? ;o)

the p800 is already out of the competition, its very late for SE, the motorola 3G a820s is about to be there, the 3650 will be released in the same date of the p800, 7650 is now a perfect phone with many apps and games that makes the phone a strong competitor, 7650 now has real player, video recorder, webviewer and much more, the p800 wont have that loads of apps that 7650, maybe after a long time from its release, the 3650 is a p800 but not with pda features, but you can make it a pda when there is expandable memory, and with 3650 u use mmc not memory stick, which is better, and the 6650 that has many features the p800 dont have, also there is 6100 and 6200, and i think the thing that will kill the p800 that it lack 3G, and it will be released after the release of the motorola a820, so many people wont buy it, and the phone will be pricey, so i think it wont success, now im a satisfied user of the best phone on the market, nokia 7650, i hate this phone when it was first released and always preferred the t68i, but when i gave it a try, i discovered that it is much better than t68i, i bought in a perfect time, the first day i bought the phone the memory was over loaded, because i installed many apps on the phone, but i'm still waiting for the p800, if it was pricey, then i will go to 6650 or 3650.

you just can't compare the nokia 3650 with the P800 because the p800 is a much more advanced phone the every nokia.

The Nokia 7650 sucks!!! Because it lacks further expansion, unlike the P800, which has (Memory Sticks or shit, at least it has!!).
And it has a very small internal memory compared to the P800, (3.6 MB for 7650 and 12MB for Nokia). Lacks way ahead!!
Ericsson is the top leader of mobile phones, NOT Nokia, am sorry to say so, but people love Nokia coz it is very damn simple which is not very satisfactory for hardcore users and professionals. People that use Nokia, are, (sorry to say), kids, (games, ringtones bla bla bla, performance ZERO)....
SE rocks, Nokia sucks...
Thanx
