Not true dude.

You can simply delete them. They are simply .sis files and will go away with the "c" command. This brings up the Application Manager and you can simply select the file and delete it.

not really, doesnt work for me, and didnt work for me in a friend's N73

Really. Try this if you can. Install the file again and then delete it. I had this happen to me with some applications if I format the machine but have installed the app to the memory card. The reg and uninstall files are on the card while the .exe is sometimes on the phone.

Cheers dude.

... tell me sapp...,
occasionally when I install apps on my e61 using pc suite, I end up with the same up twice on the phone - 1 x installed, 1 x not-installed???! Not a big prob, but strange? doesn't happen if I install straight to phone!

Hi all,

As i actually like to try different Themes quite often and they are all on my comp i quite often remove them and have never had a problem yet deleting them.

@ Maggflodd,

The only problem i have is TT6 wouldn't install once and shows up in the App manager as not installed but as it is just 1 line it really doesn't effect the running of the device or cause any problems so i have just left it there along with the installed version. The reason i delete the themes i am not currently using is just to free up some space and they are easy enough to install when needed. But i have read i am not alone with this Tom Tom anomaly.

Marc

Luckily I have a Mac and can't use the PC Suite. I either BT them over or I just copy them to the card and install from there. I have noticed that if you install to the card, then format the device, it will in some cases forget the app is installed. It will show it installed but will either, not work, or start another app, or crash. Then to uninstall it, you will get an error. I have fixed this error by simply re-installing the offending app.

I'm glad you posted that. I'm also a Mac user and wondered about installing apps without PC Suite.

press and hold the menu button for like 3/4 sec.
a menu will pop-up showing all running tasks (so those are not closed and use memory) you'll have the option to close 'm, and free up your memory and overall menu speed
