Tsk tsk tsk wouldn't need those tricks if u have an s60. Send whatsoever u like! I like the idea

Oh really? Not with S60 3rd edition you NEWB! The whole point of 3RD edition was to prevent copyright infringement & Symbian OS 9.1 restricts this as well. So if you have SNAKES that SHIPPED with your N70 sure you can send it, but if you have the latest Snakes that shipped with you N95 or even that racing game thats 3D try sending that to an N91 or even N76 or better yet an E90 ... it MAY just send over WiFi but not BT and even then its digital signature won't go along with it to allow it to be installed on the other S60 device in order for it to run.

Tsk Tsk Tsk ... read up on your OS and its restrictions and practice it before saying it can be done. I don't own an S60 3rd edition device and never used one by my cousin DOES and with his N95 it CANNOT be sent.

none of those methods work for me... mobi tells me that the program needs read user and write user access which it has... operaminitest doesnt opens the folder but shows nothing...

I don't know if that method actually still works. It certainly doesn't on my K800. Neither Moby Explorer, Mini Commander, or Opera are able to move or copy the jar files from the system/ams folder.

The method worked on some early K750's but I don't think it's worked since.

You can use a computer to move the files to the other folder, but when accessing the ams folder via windows and a usb cable, the jar files have .# on the end. You have to rename the file to remove the .# after copying it to other, otherwise on the phone the "send" option is blanked out.

great!
so now i can send games that built in the phone///

however i don't know that S60 can send installed JAVA apps.
can you tell me how to do that?

if the games are protected you won't be able to move or copy them to the mem stick, therefore you won't be able to use those methods. You would need direct file system access which is not feasible with K800 yet (atleast not with free software)

Agree with upstairs```My situation is the same with you
It's not available to unmark "read only" of the file or the documents```
Is there any other methods?

bet way imo. store everything on the mem card, via cable to the pc and copy, paste, save whatever etc thats the most secure and working way.
