I'm thinking that I couldn't actually hear the high frequency tone, but my sound system produced a lower frequency tone when the signal was fed to it from the sound card.
But either way, there was definately a sound there. And I am very sensitive to sound, my missus is always complaining that I have the volume far too low on the telly because noise really irritates me...

yes you do get a sense of sound whatever frequency but its the hearing not senseing that counts!!!

It wasn't a sense of sound mate, I definitely heard that sound! And so did my missus. I'm 32, she's 38! Sorry, but that site is a load of b******s for want of a better phrase
