Yeah, cameras are different, we've always had Japanese cams, even before they were digital, but the problem with phones is, you have almost no choice, when you want a European made one.
Both my hubby and I are not biased and we like to have phones of different brands, they all have their advantages and disadvantages.
You'll automatically have phones from all over the world then.

Not my 1st choice (China), but they still work, so I'm not complaining

AFAIK the p series are built only in france
as the swivels are made in JAPAN...my S700 and W900...MADE in japan...the build quality is amazing...i had a w810 from china and it creaked plus the screed got scratched in no time
