Just a later version I think, it doesn't do much just transmits an fm signal. Hopefully, like masseur says, they have improved the range.

Well, i finally exchanged my mmr-60 for the new mmr-70, mainly because the older model does not like smartphones!
Main differences i found:
Does not bring the cool metalic box that come with mmr-60
Music info appears on the radio screen when connected, if you want (super cool!)
Caller info also appears on the radio screen when connected
About the sound quality and signal strength i donīt thing there are too many changes...i think people that have a working mmr-60 (works fine on non-uiq phones), should not upgrade

Ah, sounds good now, especially the caller ID / track info.

Does it have a fast port connection for a charger or handsfree?
Does it work if you have it in your car in a carphone holder i.e. HCH-60?
I'm interested in the connection due to the car dilemma. I usually have a charger in the HCH-60.

The MMR-70 lacks the fast-port link through so you can't plug a charger or handsfree through it but it should work fine through a phone holder.
It is an excellent gizmo that I strongly recommend as a cheap way to listen to your walkman through a car stereo.
My only problem is that the 'track-info' option is blanked out on my W850i with the message 'Currently unavailable' in the info pop-up. Anyone know why?

The track info is unavailable when used with my K800i, the RDS radio only shows "MMR-70", but it works fine with my daughter's W580i, the song title is scrolled sideways in the RDS display. Only small problem is that the volume level is significantly lower from the MMR-70 than from other radio channels, so if you turn off the phone or change radio channel, you have to be quick on the volume knob.
