4GB M2 card is only 40GBP... and will drop. I don't care too much about the built-in 8GB in the W960. The missing HSDPA is the real turd.

When looking at the both phones I like the W960 more . After all I am addicted to Walkman phones and I like it's design too . Don't mention the high memory and other similar "extra" features . But I wonder about the price of the W960. Cuz I'm getting one FOR SURE when it reach the shops in my country.

Why woulld you even compare to soooo different phones. Its like apples and llamas.

because you cannot compare 2 things without differences. w960 and p1 are similar but with differences good for someone and bad for others.

the touch UI aint that responsive.....ive yet to see a UI which is quick like iPhone

imo the one who presents the w960 doesn't know very well how to use the touchscreen
once he tapped the icon in the main menu(the one with 4 circles) and nothing happened and then he pushed the back button....

Actually it's quite different IMO - this time around they're both well equipped with extras like wifi and camera (and I don't believe the video recording is any different, not that it would make any difference to me if it was) and fairly equal on the multimedia front - the P1 even has an FM radio, which is something the W950 definitely had over the M600.

It really comes down to how much value you put on the Walkman player over the standard media player in the P1, and of course the 8gb storage (although that can of course be added to the P1 - 8gb M2 sticks must be just around the corner). The bluetooth headset is another sweetener for the W960, but that too could be added to the P1, while it's not so easy to graft a full qwerty keyboard onto the W960... other than that it's all in the styling, and personal taste.

I am keen on both devices, but the W960 is begining to edge in front (I cannot stand that awful sudo qwerty keyboard have decided to burden the P1 with) and 8gb storage is top of my essentials list.

But having seen the YouTube clip the W960 does not seem to be the fastest kid on the block (bit like an early P990i) so i would have to see if that is just a proto problem or not.

The P1 looks better and seems to have good specs

looks like october will be a fun time for choosing phones

P1 for me. Looks better and is a touch smaller (although a little fatter).

A 4GB card is plenty big enough for my needs.
