Sony has shown off the second-generation PSP, which it says is a third lighter and 19% slimmer than the current model. It'll have better battery life, load up games and UMD movies faster, and will boast a TV-Out feature letting you play games on your big-screen telly, as well as watch videos.
It'll be available in black, white and silver, including a special Star Wars Battlefront edition with Darth Vader on the back.
In the US, the new PSP will cost $199, with a 1GB Memory Stick and Daxter game thrown in, and is due on sale in September.

lol sony got hold of dark alex and made sure that the new psp are unhackable
this means no homebrew and every one is going to keep there old psp as gold

Thats cool. The TV out kinda makes it worth changing to the new one. Playing Socom 2 on TV would be nice as well as watching films.

i remember saying when the PSP was launched, i'll wait for the PSP Slim
same goes with the PS3, i'll wait for the Slim version
