Boinng,
I am sure that your choice will be right for you.

I have my P990 for almost a 7 months, and the thing I found is except Wi-Fi (which I am using very rarely) any new SE phone without Symbian is doing well everithing else and is satisfying my needs. For me one of the main reasons to use SE is the highest standby time and talk time. So maybe for me is ordinary phone, not smartphone better solution.

* I really like the touch-screen interface - hopefully the iphone will encourage more of these. Single handed operation is a must.
* Not so sure I need a full keyboard, as I have so far been using handwriting to enter text (but it was a must-have at the time that I bought the p990). No numeric keypad needed (contact entry is [0-9a-z] anyway).
* Good PC-suite integration. (less flaky drivers, txt from PC, easy upgrade, etc)
* Profiles (I want silent 9-5:30, mon-fri at a minimum)
* Processor - the P990 is ok for today, not seen how the n95 compares with (4x?) more power, but I will be waiting for at least n95 level of processor, which rules out the HTC devices of today.

No more SE for me.
I am done with Symbian.
Moving to Windows Mobile.
I think one HTC PDA is the next device from me.

That's nothing special. People were always going here and there regarding phone flavors. Enjoy the freedom of choice!

After the P990i fiasco, no more SE products for me either. I´m leaning towards a Nokia E61i.

Large screen
Great battery time
Solid build
Solid OS
3G + WIFI + A2DP
Full QWERTY keyboard

e61i looks like a great phone. However the thing that lets me down is the camera. yep i know it is a business phone, but even businessmen need good cameras.
Can someone point a more stable phone than the p990 that has big screen, OS, wifi, a good camera and easy text input like qwerty or touchscreen.

Oh, and e90 is just toooo much, both dimensions and pricing.

I don't see that P990 fiasco at all. I found it super stable and functional phone. Regarding multitasking which is IMO the only area that really needs improvement I can say even there it is quite practical. For example right now I write this via built in opera (very easy and fast using qwerty), listen some music and checking email inbox at the same time (while advanced call manager carefully take care of my incoming calls).
