have tried using M3 for my P990i but it seems very selective in converting avi files to mp4. i was able to convert "the simpsons movie.avi" to mp4 and play it in my P990i but after choosing another avi file, a window would popup and directing me to download ffdshow codec and after installing it and converting, nothing happens. any help would surely be appreciated.

use this thread there are two m3 downloads(depends what you need and dont need)
and also use my setting with the 256kbps video setting(you'll see just read along)

And people please use the above link as it probably the best link for video converts, also make other video converter suggestions and anything else really to do with video encoders:)
